Tolkien: Mom, what do you consider fashion ? 

Mom : you mean personally ?

Tolkien : yes, what is your style ?

Mom : If it is not wrinkled.. Wear it, if there are no stains.. Wear it.If it doesn't smell...wear it 

Tolkien : that isn't style..when did you pick up this sense of fashion ?

Mom : ten years ago..when you were born ! I have never looked back since

Timing is everything

Elvish : Mom ,how was your day ?

Mom : It was good.Thank you for asking.That was sweet 

Elvish : Ya I wanted to check your mood before asking something .Can I get some Pokemon cards ?

Marriage woes

Mom : I heard a couple of girls in your class want to marry you

Elvish : Ewww! I don't want to 

Mom : You seem to need a partner for all your work, and I am getting old ,may be I should get you married.

Elvish : I think it's illegal for me to marry now, I could be sent to "juvenile" if I did !

Cold morning misery

The coldest morning and we are ironically back to school after the hols @6 am

Mom: Rise and shine my Valentine

Tolkien : You got to be kidding me !!

Contentment

After a lengthy lecture on "contentment"

Mom: So what did you learn from the story ?

Elvish: It is better to be middle class 

Gentleman

Elvish: I am going to take a break from being a gentleman

Mom: Why?

Elvish: I am drawing too much attention on myself

Animal people

Elvish : what kindof people are we ?

Mom : I don't understand .what do you mean ?

Elvish: you know there are cat people and dog people 

Mom : oh ! I think we are dog people

Elvish : any chance we could be hamster or gerbil people too ?? 

Good going tyke ..you almost  got me there ;) but I am almost caving in , he has worked my last nerve since October
